MRS. L. FARNBERG RITES SEPT. 10

Karen Johnson was born in Norway Sept. 6, 1863, and came to America in 1879. Here in 1884 she married Lauritz Farnberg. At the time of their marriage Mr. Farnberg was working with a crew of government engineers on the river.

They shortly took up their home in Blair and here they reared their family and spent their lives. To them eight children were born, five of whom are still living. Those living are John of Chicago; Carl of Redwood Falls, Minnesota; Clara and Louie of Blair; and Wm. of Battle Lake, Minnesota.

After settling in Blair, the husband entered the hardware business and continued in the business until his death.

Mrs. Farnberg was a good wife and mother and was loved and revered by her children. The husband preceded her in death several years ago.

Death came to Mrs. Farnberg Sept. 6, 1950, on her eighty seventh birthday.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
