HERMAN PFEIFER DIED FRIDAY

Herman H. Pfeiffer, 79, of Arlington died at his home last Friday, July 13th. He had been ill for about two years and bedfast for about six months.

He was born Dec. 5, 1870 in Steinreinach, Germany and came to this country in 1881, settling near Arlington where he made his home. He married Ella Menking on June 1, 1904.

Survivors are his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Fred Pfeiffer, Orlando, Oklahoma; Mrs. Arthur Heuerman, Arlington; Mrs. Wayne Dalrymple, Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. J. C. Rhea, Glen Rock, N.J.; Mrs. Frances Bradley, Wichita, Kansas; four sons, Herman, Walter and Raymond of Arlington and Clarence of LaCrosse, Kansas.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the country home, and burial was made in the Arlington cemetery in charge of the W. A. Reckmeyer and Son funeral home.

A Resident Of Arlington Community Since 1881

Herman Henry Pfeiffer, 79, prominent county farmer, died Friday at his home here. He had been ill about two years and bedfast six months. Private funeral services were held at their country home Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Arlington cemetery. The W. A. Reckmeyer and Son funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Pfeiffer was born Dec. 5, 1870 in Steinreinach, Germany. He came to this community in 1881 and has lived here ever since. He married Ella Menking on June 1, 1904. Survivors are his widow, four sons, Herman, Walter and Raymond, all of Arlington; Clarence of LaCrosse, Kansas; five daughters, Mrs. Fred Pfeiffer, Orlando, Okla.; Mrs. Arthur Heuerman, Arlington; Mrs. Wayne Dalrymple, Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. J. C. Rhea, Glen Rock, N.J.; and Mrs. Francis Bradley, Wichita, Kansas.
