ARLINGTON MAN DIES OF WOUND

Arlington - Arthur R. Hammang, 36 year old farmer, died Sunday at his home on the west edge of this village.

He died of a self inflicted gunshot would according to County Coroner C. N. Sutton of Blair.

Mr. Hammang had been ill about two months.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Congregational church. Dr. E. Merle Adams will officiate. Burial will be in the Arlington cemetery. W. A. Reckmeyer and Son funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Born Jan. 23, 1914 at Arlington, Mr. Hammang had lived in this community all his life. He was a member of the First Congregation church.

Mr. Hammang was married April 28, 1939 in Sidney, Ia. to the former Doris Farrens.

An infant daughter, Judy Ann, preceded Mr. Hammang in death in 1942.

Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Peggy Jean; two sons, Arthur, Jr. and Larry Lee; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel P. Hammang of Arlington; two brothers, Joseph and Warren, both of Arlington; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Miller of Omaha, Genevieve Hammang of Minneapolis and Mrs. Earl Davis of Minneapolis.
