RITE FOR MRS. WM. J. LUDWIG FRIDAY

Mrs. Wm. J. Ludwig, a resident of Arlington since 1890, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 15th, at an Omaha Nursing Home where she had been for the past three years. She had been ill for the past four months.

Mrs. Ludwig was born in Worth County, Missouri on February 9, 1870, and had observed her 80th birthday this year.

In October, 1888, she was united in marriage to Wm. J. Ludwig and in 1890 they moved to Arlington. Mr. Ludwig was a mason until his death in 1932.

Three daughters and four sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig. Mrs. Erwal G. Rosenbaum of Arlington; Mrs. L. A. Washington of Omaha; Mrs. A. E. Whittlow of Oakdale, Neb.; Dr. Earl Ludwig of Springfield, Ill.; C. Roscoe Ludwig of Sioux City, Iowa; and Clyde Ludwig of Hartland, Wisconsin. There are also 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 brothers who survive Mrs. Ludwig.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Methodist church in Arlington with Rev. Robert Schlichter officiating. Wm. A. Reckmeyer & Son are in charge of the funeral arrangements, and interment will be made in the Arlington cemetery.

Funeral services for Ms. William Ludwig were held Friday at 1:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Rosenbaum, with whom she made her home for fifteen years and at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church with Rev. Robert Schlichter officiating. Mrs. Hobson Ludwig of Fremont sang “Rock of Ages” and “Abide With Me” accompanied by Mrs. Allen W. Laaker at the organ. Burial was in the Arlington cemetery with the following pallbearers: Lyle Ludwig, Floyd Ludwig, Donald Ludwig, Gilbert Nibbe, Homer Miller and Raymond Ludwig. Coming from away for the funeral were Clyde Ludwig of Hartland, Wis.; Dr. and Mrs. Earle W. Ludwig of Springfield, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Ludwig and Mrs. Wendell Ludwig and Ronny Ludwig of Sioux City, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Whitlow of Oakdale; Mr. and Mrs. Hobson Ludwig and Constance and Eunice of Fremont; Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson of Hebron; Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Washington, Mrs. Dora Angus, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ludwig, Lyle Ludwig and Donald Ludwig of Omaha; J. Hurley Dye, Oral Dye and Mrs. Goldie Brown of St. Joseph, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. G. William Wilkins and family of Creighton; Mrs. Ray Masters and Leonard Gaines of Fremont; Mr. and Mrs. Clint Eakin of Boulder, Colo.; Mr. Alvin Lewis of Denver, Colo.; and Dale Rosenbaum of Norfolk.

Omitted in last week’s obituary of Mrs. Ludwig was a son, Hobson Ludwig of Fremont.
