W. S. PHILLIPS BURIED SATURDAY

W. S. Phillips, 46, Superintendent of the Maseman Construction Company and a resident of Blair for the past four and one half years, passed away last Thursday morning at the Lutheran Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Campbell Mortuary, and burial made in the Blair Cemetery.

Surviving besides the wife, Oma, are two sons, William and Donald, both from Columbia, Missouri. Present for the services Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. William Phillips and son, Donald Phillips; his mother, Mrs. Grace Phillips of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Lela Harvey, a sister, Wilmington, Illinois; a brother, John Phillips and Wife from Washington, Missouri; and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hood of Marion, Illinois, cousins of Mrs. Phillips. Another sister, Mrs. Beulah Attebery of Oklahoma City was unable to be present.

Mr. and Mrs. William Phillips and son will remain in Blair for a few weeks, but Donald returned to his studies at the University of Missouri Monday. William is a law graduate of the University and passed his bar examination on the day of his father’s death.
