MRS. C. VINDERSLEV DIED FEBRUARY 12

Ida Christina Christensen, daughter of the late Jens and Kristine Christensen of Kennard, was born in Washington county on August 9, 1892. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and was united in marriage with Chris Vinderslev on November 10, 1911. To this union 12 children were born, 3 boys and 9 girls. One daughter, Ione, preceded her mother in death. After a long illness, Mrs. Vinderslev passed away at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 3 days at the farm home 6 miles southwest of Herman on February 12, 1950 at 1:40 p.m.

Mrs. Vinderslev leaves to mourn her passing: Her husband, the children, Elmer, Mrs. Dorothy Magill, Mrs. Lola Vaughn and Chris, Jr., all of Herman; Mrs. Helen Totten of Ames, Nebraska; Mrs. Vivian Kraemer of Craig, Nebraska; Mrs. Darlene Dodge of Denver, Colorado; Leonard of Chokio, Minnesota; Inez, Betty and lila at home; also 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Niels E. and Otto W. Christensen of Blair; one sister, Mrs. Harry Johnson of Kennard; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held in the First Lutheran Church of Blair on February 15, and burial was made in the Herman Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ted Iversen, Elmer Thone, John Reeh, Andrew Hoier, William Kubie and Raymond Rathjen. The Truhlsen Funeral Home in Herman was in charge of arrangements, and Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiated.
