MRS. CECILIA HANSEN DIED FEB. 3

Anna Cecilia Hansen was born in Denmark September 14, 1860, and passed away on February 3, 1950, aged 89 years.

She was one of ten children, all of whom had preceded her in death. Before coming to America she was married to Rasmus Hansen and to them five children were born. After the death of her husband, the family came to America and resided in Blair where she married Jacob Hansen, and to this marriage a daughter was born.

In 1913 Mr. and Mrs. Hansen and their daughter went to Florida where both the husband and daughter died. After the husband’s death in 1940 Mrs. Hansen returned to Blair and later went to Newell, Iowa where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Carl Christensen.

She leaves to mourn her two daughters, Mrs. Christensen of Newell, Iowa and Mrs. L. P. Petersen of Blair and two sons, H. C. Hansen of Savannah, Ga. and Holger Hansen of Omaha; also sixteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, Feb. 6th, in Newell, Iowa and interment was made in the Newell cemetery.

The pallbearers were Arthur W. Andersen, Wm. Vogt, Eggert Wulf, Howard Petersen, Orville Hansen and Howard Meierhenry, all of Blair and Omaha.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Holger Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Hansen, both of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vogt, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Petersen, Mrs. L. P. Petersen, Mr. and Mrs. Eggert Wulf, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Meierhenry of Blair and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Andersen of Herman.
