MRS. GOLDIE WOTEN SERVICES WERE HELD TUESDAY AFTERNOON

Resident of Herman For Fourteen Years. Was Member of A.L.A.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock for Mrs. Goldie Woten at the Legion Hall in Herman, conducted by Rev. Robert Wigert.

Mrs. Woten had lived in Herman for fourteen years. She was a hard working woman, a loving mother, and a kind friend and neighbor. All who knew Goldie loved her and she will be missed by many. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mary Goldie Martin was born March 30, 1906 at Walthill, Nebraska and passed away at the Clarkson hospital in Omaha on February 11, 1950. She was the daughter of Harry and Emma Martin. She was married to Ira Byron Woten June 1, 1922, and to this union two children were born, Ira Everett of Blair and Belva Mardell, Mrs. Jerry Schlew of Omaha. Her husband preceded her in death in 1936.

She is survived by her two children and two grandchildren, Ramona and Roberta Woten. Two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Boyle of Sioux City and Mrs. Hazel Ekberg of Sloan, Iowa. Seven brothers, Louis Martin of Oral, South Dakota; Vern and Val Martin of Sioux City, Iowa; Frank and Clifford Martin of Walthill and Blake Martin of Herman.

Mrs. Cluade Yowell, Mrs. Kermit Goll and Mrs. Clare Skinner finished the music. The pallbearers were Norman Rogert of Blair, Terry Andrew, Kenneth Freeman, Paul Hancock, W. I. Nelson and Robert Brodersen.
