JOHN RODGERS DIES IN MISSOURI VALLEY

John Rodgers, a brother of Wm. J. Rodgers of this city died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jennie Fort of Missouri Valley last Tuesday. Funeral services will be held today in Missouri Valley, and burial will be made in Blair.

Deceased was born in Scotland and came to America in his early twenties. He found employment with the Crowell Lumber and Grain Company of Blair and for a term of years was in the employ of Frank Castetter of the Castetter Bank.

Later he operated what is now the Robinson cafe and the Clifton Hotel. He was at one time president of the Blair School Board and was always interested in local politics.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Jennie Fort of Missouri Valley and a son, Tom of Omaha. At his death he was in his 82nd year.
