WALTER A. RENARD, 53, HOOPER FARMER, DIES AT FREMONT

Former Arlington Resident Succumbs To Lingering Illness

Walter A. Renard, 53, farmer living one mile east of Hooper died Wednesday evening at the Dodge County Community hospital after an illness of several months. Mr. Renard was born at Arlington on August 23, 1896. He was married on August 17, 1927 to Amelia Jorgensen in Omaha, and farmed southeast of Arlington for 12 years before moving to their present farm near Hooper in 1939.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Woolimer-Warne Funeral home in Hooper at 1:15 p.m. and in the Methodist church in Elk City at 2:30 with Rev. Paul DeFreese officiating.

Burial was in the Elk City cemetery.

Survivors are the widow, a daughter, Joan, two sisters, Estella Renard of Omaha and Mrs. Paul Stroll, Council Bluffs, two brothers, Ed and Otto Renard, both of Arlington. A son preceded him in death.
