P. L. PETERSON DIED TUESDAY

Peter L. Peterson was born in Sweden on April 27, 1869, and came to America with his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Swan Peterson, at about the age of 6. On December 16, 1898 he was married to Miss Elsie Christine Andersen. The Peterson's became the parents of two daughters, both of whom survive their father. The family home was located about 2 1/2 miles north of Kennard, where the Peterson's lived until about 1920 when they moved to Blair where they have since lived. On December 22, while taking Mrs. Peterson to an Omaha hospital for treatment, Mr. Peterson was injured as his automobile skidded into a light pole. He was apparently on the way to recovery when his condition suddenly changed for the worse, and he passed away in the Methodist hospital where he had been taken on January 5.

Mr. Peterson is survived by his widow, the two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Paulsen of Cozad, Nebraska and Mrs. Hans Mencke of Kennard, also by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at the First Lutheran church on Sunday afternoon, January 8, with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating, and the Bendorf Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Burial was made in Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Peterson was a member of the local I.O.O.F. lodge.
