Mrs. Cora McDonald, descendant of pioneer family, died Tuesday noon at the Dodge County hospital. She had been ill for the past four months and had been in the hospital for the past four weeks.

Deceased was born in Washington County on Dec. 12, 1878, and most of her life was spent in and around Ft. Calhoun. Her parents were early pioneers and she knew the early history and the manner of the life of the pioneer.

On December 29th, 1907 she was married to Wm. McDonald, and they farmed near Calhoun until the death of her husband. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Brandert of Fremont and Mrs. Florence Aronson of Tekamah and two sons, Donald of Wayzota, Minn. and Laurel of Scottsbluff.

She also leaves two brothers, Austin Beales of Blair and Wm. of Omaha and two sisters, Jessie McDonald of Kennard and Marie Gates of Papillion, Nebraska and eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm. Friday in the Trinity Lutheran church in Fremont, and interment will be made at about 3:00 pm. in the Calhoun cemetery.
