RITES MONDAY FOR MRS. FRANSEN Services for Mrs. Olena Marie Fransen were held Monday afternoon at the Herman Baptist Church. Mrs. Fransen was well known here, having been a resident of Washington County for nearly fifty years.

Mrs. Olena Marie (Hansen)Fransen was born October 1st, 1870 in Denmark. She came to America at the age of 18 and lived in this county until six years ago when she moved to Idaho to make her home with 3 of her children.

She was united in marriage to Peter Fransen April 2, 1892. When a young woman she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

Following an illness she passed away at a Twin Falls, Idaho hospital at the age of 79 years, 25 days. Her husband and one daughter, Dagmar, has preceded her in death.

The deceased is survived by three sons and five daughters. These are Francis of Tekamah; Fred of Buhl, Idaho; Clarence of Twin Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Sena Hansen of Bartley, Nebraska; Elfreda (Mrs. George Hansen), Herman, Nebraska; Lille (Mrs. Charles Chamberlain), Nebraska City, Nebraska; Elna (Mrs. Frank Merman), Pocatello, Idaho; Cleo (Mrs. R. B. Connell), Tryon, Nebraska and one brother, Joseph Hansen of Belleville, New Jersey. There are also 26 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren surviving.

Rev. T. J. Reese, former Blair Baptist pastor, now of Jefferson, Iowa, was in charge of the services.
