SANDRA KAY WEST RITES HELD

Herman - Sandra Kay West, daughter of Clifford and Viola West, was born at Tekamah, Neb. May 11, 1937, and passed away at the University hospital, Omaha Sunday morning, October 16. She was twelve years, five months and five days old.

Sandra came to Herman with her parents when she was six months old so had spent nearly all her life in Herman. When she was four years old, a physician discovered that she had a malady which has proven incurable. Within the last four years she has been hospitalized nine weeks. She spent four weeks in the hospital in 1946, two weeks in 1947, and two weeks preceding her death.

Sandra was a member of the Baptist church, the Herman church school and the 4-H club. She attended the Herman public school.

She is survived by her parents, Clifford and Viola West of Herman, her grandmother, Mrs. Emma Miller of Herman and Mrs. Henry Baker of Blair, two brothers, Jimmie and Larry and one sister, Mary, all of Herman.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church in Herman, the pastor, Rev. Robert Wigert, officiating. Interment in the Herman cemetery.
