J. L. DONNELLY PASSES AWAY

Mr. and Mrs. L. Schenk received word Saturday that Mrs. Schenk’s brother, G. L. Donnelly of Valier, Montana passed away on Sept. 9.

Mr. Donnelly was born at Leesburg, Virginia in 1871. In 1886 he came to Blair with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Donnelly where he lived until moving to Valier in 1908.

Preceding him in death was one son, Clyde, who died three years ago. Mr. Donnelly is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Donnelly, two sons, Harvey of Portland, Oregon and Lyle of Great Falls, Montana; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Campbell of Oregon; and four sisters, Mrs. Anna Schenk of Blair; Mrs. John Reid, Mrs. Clara Sench and Miss Celeste Donnelly, all of Haxtun, Colo.

J. L. Donnley Laid to Rest Here Monday

Funeral services for Joseph L. Donnley, 78 who passed away at the Conrad hospital last Friday, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist church here. The Rev. F. S. Mercer officiated. Interment was held in Lake View cemetery. Donlley was born in Leesburg, Va., March 6,1871, and at early age moved to Blair, Neb. He was married there in 1896 to Anna R. Schenk. To this union five children were born. The family came to Montana and homesteaded in the Sun River valley in September of 1909 where they resided until moving to Valier in 1937. Mr. Donnelly lived in retirement at his home in the south part of town.

He is survived by his widow and jour children, Harvey of Republic, Wash., Lyle of Great Falls, Mrs. Pearl Brabender of Big Fork and Mrs. Clara Campbell of Philomath, Ore. One son, Clyde, preceded him in death. There are also 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren surviving.
