CHAS. SHEETS DIES AT 78

Charles Anderson Sheets was born July 1, 1871 about six miles west of Blair and passed away at the Clarkson hospital in Omaha August 30, 1949 at the age of seventy eight years, one month and twenty nine days.

He had spent his entire life in and near Herman. Mr. Sheets passed away in June, 1944 and prior to her death they had lived on a farm near Herman much of the time, but were living in Herman when she passed away.

To this union three children were born, Floyd who with his family lived in Herman. Nellie, Mrs. V W. Pearce of Omaha and Mildred, Mrs. Frances O’Hara of North Bend, Nebraska. Three children preceded their parents in death.

Surviving Mr. Sheets are his three children, several grandchildren and two brothers, Dan Sheets of Herman and Will Sheets of Blair.

The funeral was in charge of Truhlsen Funeral Home and held at the Herman Baptist Church with Rev. A. W. Clarke of Schuyler in charge. Burial was in the Herman cemetery.
