C. W. HANSEN DIES OF HEART ATTACK

C. W. Hansen passed away of a heart attack Tuesday, August 16, while being rushed to the hospital by the Ralston Rescue Squad. Deceased was born December 22, 1878 at Schleswig Holstein, Germany.

At the age of 13 years immigrated to the U.S. with his mother. He spent his entire lifetime in the Orum and Kennard vicinities. As a young man he was confirmed in the Danish Lutheran church at Orum. He was married May 3, 1905 to Amelia Larsen, and to them eight children were born: Mrs. Pearl Pritchard, Clyde and Hazel, all of Omaha; Mrs. Ruth Konvalin of Superior; Mrs. Bertha Hall and Melvin of Ralston; Mrs. Olga Boock and Mrs. Lola Rahlfs, both of Blair. Left to mourn are his children, nine grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Olena Fransen of Buhl, Idaho, one brother, J. G. Hansen of Belville, N.J., and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Hansen was preceded in death by his wife and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are awaiting the arrival of Mrs. Rahlfs, who is on a motor trip to New York. The body lies in state at the Bendorf Funeral Home.
