RITES HELD FOR GEORGE E. SMITH

George Edward Smith was born on Dec. 9, 1875, and passed away on May 1, 1949 at the age of 73.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife Rose, two daughters, Erna Thompson of Tekamah and Bertha McManigal, Omaha; three sons, Edward, Stephenson, Mich.; Robert, Blair; and Harold, Tekamah; two brothers, Moses of Tipton, Ia.; and Benjamin F. of Portland, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Conklin of Sioux City, Neb.; and Clara Sutton of Plattsmouth; five grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 4.
