ERNEST E. GUSTIN DIED APRIL 18TH

Ernest Eugene (Boone) Gustin was born July 13, 1879, at DeSoto, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gustin, early settlers in that vicinity. He died at Blair Hospital April 18 after having been in failing health the past two years and bedfast in recent months.

Mr. Gustin and Anna Harwager of Minden, Nebraska were married in Washington County in June, 1906. They farmed near DeSoto until 1913 when they moved to a farm near Walthill, Nebraska. Mrs. Gustin died there in 1917, and two years later the family returned to Blair.

On October 27, 1929, Mr. Gustin was married to Lillian Hansen of Blair, and they have since resided here.

Surviving Mr. Gustin are his wife, Lillian; three daughters, Mrs. C. H. Robinson (Stella) of Blair, Miss Virginia Gustin and Mrs. Goldie Nussler, both of Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren, including Mrs. Daniel Farrens of Tekamah, the former Libby Robinson of Blair, also Miss Lila Robinson and Bud Robinson, both of Blair. There are five surviving brothers, Willard E. Gustin and Dave Gustin, both of Blair; Walter Gustin of Morganza, La.; and Howard Gustin of Rockford, Ill.

Preceding Mr. Gustin in death were a son, Glen, and a daughter, Bertha, by his first marriage and two infants by his second marriage, also his two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hanna Green of Blair and Mrs. Anna Hitlle of Omaha.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the First Lutheran Church with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen delivering the funeral oration, and interment under the supervision of the Campbell Mortuary was made in the Blair cemetery.
