FORMER KENNARD MINISTER DIES

Pastor Knud Larsen, a former pastor of the Lutheran Church at Kennard, Washington and Orum, passed away suddenly on April 6 in a restaurant at Seward, Nebraska after having attended a meeting of the Good Shepherd Home Association here the evening before. His passing was not unexpected, but nevertheless was a shock to his many friends here.

Pastor Larsen attended Dana College here, graduated from Western Theological Seminary at Fremont, and served as pastor for 27 years. He was the father of ten children, one a pastor in the United Evangelical Lutheran Church and another, Theodore, a student at Dana College and an employee of Chris Bendorf.

The funeral services were held at Cordova, Nebraska, one of Pastor Larsen’s congregations at the time of his death, and at Laurel, the former pastorate of the deceased minister. Those who attended the services from here include Mr. and Mrs. Simon Korshoj and Mrs. Ed Olson of Herman, Rev. and Mrs. H. C. Jorgensen and Dr. N. C Carlsen.
