FORMER BLAIR WOMAN DIES AT SIOUX CITY

Hilma J. Sanders was born November 19, 1901 on a farm near Kennard, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Swanson. She passed away at a Sioux City Hospital Sunday, March 27, 1949, at the age of 47 years, 4 months and 8 days. She had been ill for several months.

Deceased was baptized and confirmed at an early age in the Lutheran faith at Kennard, Nebraska. She also received her education at the Kennard, Nebraska schools.

On January 20, 1939 she was married to John Sanders of Walthill, Nebraska at Fredericksburg, Virginia. To this union one son, John, Jr. and a daughter, Jean Marie, were born.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nels Swanson, in 1940.

She is survived by her husband, John, and a son and a daughter, her mother, Mrs. Hannah Swanson of Kennard, Nebraska; six brothers, Albert of Kennard; Harry of Washington, Nebr.; Elmer and Carl, both of Thurston, Nebraska; Leonard of Winnebago, Nebraska; and Fred of Pender, Nebraska; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Widener of Herman, Nebraska; and Mrs. Ellen Isham of Elkhorn, Nebraska; besides a host of relatives and friends.

Services were Held at the Winnebago Presbyterian Church with Rev. Albert Kellogg of Battle Creek, Iowa officiating.

The six brothers of Mrs. Sanders acted as pallbearers.

Interment was made in the Omaha Valley cemetery under the direction of the Barber and Boyd funeral home.
