RITES FOR OTTO F. CARMICHAEL FEB. 16TH

Otto F. Carmichael, an early resident of Blair, died February 13, 1949 at his home in Omaha. He was born December 26, 1867, in Indiana, and came to Nebraska with his family in 1887, settling in Blair.

He was married April 6, 1888, to Laura Hiatt of Blair and to this union eight children were born, four of whom are living.

Surviving are his wife, Laura, sons Robert of Blair and Walter of Omaha, and two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Robinson of Blair and Mrs. Janette Dunn of Omaha, also sixteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Besides the immediate family, he leaves a brother, Mead, of Columbus, Ohio; half brothers Avie of Denver and John of Morningside, Wis., and Charles of Blair and a half sister, Mrs. Cory Charlton of Denver.

He was a devoted member of the Blair Lodge No. 14, I.O.O.F. for 34 years and a member of long standing of Welcome Rebekah Lodge.

Funeral services under the supervision of the Bendorf Funeral Home, were held Feb. 16 at 2 p.m., and interment was made in the family lot in the Blair cemetery.
