WM. G. PFEIFFER, 81, OF ARLINGTON DIED SUNDAY

Arlington Resident For 61 Years. Born In Germany

William G. Pfeiffer, 81, resident of Arlington for 61 years, died at the Blair Convalescent Home Sunday afternoon. He had been ill for 12 months.

Born in Wittenburg, Germany on Oct. 20, 1867, Mr. Pfeiffer came with his parents to the Fontanelle vicinity in 1881. He went to Omaha to learn the blacksmith trade and set up a blacksmith shop here at the age of 21.

In 1890 he married Anna Dickmeyer. she died two years later, and in 1894 Mr. Pfeiffer married Charlotte Eggerth of LaVerne, Ia. in her home town. Mrs. Pfeiffer died in Casper, Wyo. in 1942.

Mr. Pfeiffer was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Germany at the age of 14.

Survivors include two daughters, Sister M. Charlotte of San Antonio, Tex. and Mrs. Lorelei Feland of Casper, Wyo.; a son, Vernon of Los Angeles; brother, Henry of Arlington; a sister, Mrs. Martha Werner of Ozawa, Ia., two grandchildren and 31 nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the W. A. Reckmeyer and Son funeral home of Arlington.
