MRS. W. B. UEHLING BURIED MONDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. W. B. Uehling were held Monday afternoon following her death early Saturday, Jan. 15.

Mrs. Uehling, before marriage, was Helen Cecil Engelke. She was born at Blair Jan. 17, 1917, and grew to womanhood in this vicinity. She was a graduate of Blair High School in the class of 1935.

On May 7, 1937, the deceased was married to W. B. Uehling at Papillion, Nebr., and the couple has made their home in Blair since that time. To this union two children were born, a son, Jerry George, now nine years old, and a daughter, Mary Kay, age 8.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Blair and the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary.

She is survived by her children, her husband, who is employed in Texas, by her father, George T. Engelke, two brothers, Virgil Engelke and Billy Engelke and two sisters, Mrs. June Woodring and Georgia Waring.

Mrs. Uehling became ill for a brief period shortly before Christmas, but recovered satisfactorily. She was taken to the Blair hospital ten days ago and a major operation was performed Monday, January 10. She was moved to the Methodist hospital in Omaha late Thursday, and she passed away early Saturday, Jan. 15.

Services in charge o the Fick Funeral Home, were held Monday, Jan. 17. Rev. H. L. McKinley delivered the sermon.
