#1-19 Oct., 1910 - The Pilot - William Ervey

Wm. Ervey died at his home in Dexterville last night at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 18 days, having been born in Newark, N.J. March 20th, 1832. He was married there and three children of that union are living near that place. After his first wife’s death he moved to Pennsylvania and was there married to Miss Cynthia Rosencrantz, coming to this county in the same month, April, 1868, and settled on the old homestead eight miles northwest of town. He lived there until 1894 when he moved to this city. He leaves a wife and one son, Harry, and five daughters of this union, Mrs. Henry Milenz and Mrs. Ross Ferris of Belgrade, Neb., Mrs. Ever Beck of Huron, S.D. and Mrs. T. C. Boles of Omaha. The funeral will be held at the house at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon, Rev. C. P. Lang officiating.

Wm. Ervey died at his home in Dexterville last Tuesday night after an illness of some months’ duration. He was born in Newark, N.J. March 20, 1832. He was married there and three children of that union are still living near Newark. After his first wife’s death, he moved to Pennsylvania and was there married to Miss Cynthia Rosenerantz, coming to this county in April, 1868, and settled on a homestead eight miles west of town. He lived there until 1894 when he moved to this city. He leaves a wife and one son, Harry, and five daughters of this union - Mrs. Henry Melinz and Mrs Rose Ferris of Belgrade, Ne.; Mrs. Ever Beck of Huron, S.D.; and Mrs. T. C. Boles of Omaha. The funeral was held last Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the family residence, Rev. C. P. Lang officiating, and the body was laid to rest in the Blair cemetery. The Tribune extends its deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.

AN EARLY SETTLER GONE

The funeral of the late William Ervey was held last Thursday afternoon from the home, Rev. Lang of the Methodist church officiating.

Mr. Ervey died at his home in Dexterville last Tuesday night at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 18 days, having been born in Newark, N.J. March 20th, 1832. He was married there and three children of that union are living near that place.

After his first wife’s death he moved to Pennsylvania and was there married to Miss Cynthia Rosencrans, coming to this country in the same month, April, 1868, and settled on the old homestead eight miles northwest of town where he lived until 1894 when he moved to this city.

Deceased leaves a wife and one son, Harry, and five daughters of this union: Mrs. Henry Milenz and Mrs. Rose Ferris of Belgrade, Neb.; Mrs. Ever Beck of Huron, S. D.; and Mrs. T. C. Boles of Omaha.
