Lou Peterson Died Tuesday
Lou Petersen passed away at the home of Dick Stricklett at about 10 o'clock in the evening, where Mr. Stricklett had been caring for him since last April. He suffered the first stroke about four years ago and the second one about a year ago in September left him helpless in bed. He had gradually failed since that time.
The funeral service will be held at the Chris Bendorf undertaking rooms at 2:30 tomorrow, Thursday afternoon, Rev. Carl G. Bader officiating. Interment will be made by the side of his wife, whose death occurred some four years ago.
Mr. Petersen was born in Denmark February 10th, 1866, so was just past 62 years of age. He was married to Mrs. Louisa J. Brown, 36 years ago and they made their home in this city. He was engaged in the teaming and trucking business.
He is survived by three stepchildren, Mrs. A. C. Dubs, of Omaha, Frank Brown and Mrs. Glen Cole, of this city. They also raised Dorella Brown, now Mrs. Arthur Baker of Cedar Bluffs. There are three nephews, W. C. Wilson of Bedford, S. D., and Chris Wilson of Chicago and Louis Wilson of Sioux Falls, S. D. He leaves an aunt, Mrs. C. P. Delhzard, in Omaha.
