MRS. PETTINGILL DEAD

Mrs. Elizabeth Hannah Pettingill died last Wednesday forenoon at 11 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. O. Timpe near Fontanelle, and the funeral was held in Blair Thursday.

Mrs. Pettingill was born at Pittsburg in 1830. She moved with her husband, the late John Pettingill, to a farm near Fontanelle in 1859. Afterwards they moved to a farm near Blair where Mr. Pettingill died twelve years ago. He was a schoolmaster in the east and later in Washington county. Two daughters, Mrs. Anna Timpe of Fontanelle and Mrs. Wealthy Kemp of Essex, Col., and one son, Dr. Somers Pettingill of Fort Calhoun survive.
