FRANK H. STRADLING

Frank H. Stradling died at the Blair hospital last Monday and the funeral will be held today at 3:30 from the McCormick home, Rev. Shick officiating. Deceased was taken sick while attending to the duties of the International Correspondence School at St. Joseph, Mo., and was brought to Blair by Mr. and Mrs. Will Koopman in the hopes that something could be done to relieve his condition, which the doctors had pronounced hardening of the liver. After being placed in the hospital here an operation was performed and it was learned that he had an internal hemorrhage of pancreas. The operation was apparently successful, but on Sunday evening his heart began to weaken and all stimulants used failed to improve the condition of the patient.

Deceased was born June 12, 1878 at Muncie, Indiana, and came to Blair in the spring of 1903, being admitted to the Nebraska bar in the fall of the same year. He made his home here until August, 1906 when he accepted a position in Omaha, resigning it soon after to take up the work for the International Schools of Scranton, Pa. Two months ago he was promoted to division superintendent with headquarters at St. Joseph, Mo.

Deceased was a member of the K.P. lodge, but was not active at the time of his death. He was a member of the Christian church, Royerton, Ind., since twenty years of age. He was married May 4, 1907 to Mrs. Bertha Stewart, who survives him together with father, mother, four sisters and two brothers, R. W. and Mary E. Straddling; Hulda, Jessie, Stella and Robert at home, Royerton, Ind.; Mrs. Charles Meyers, Wabash, Ind.; and Mrs. L. Thomas, Muncie, Ind.

William McCormick, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Koopman of Blair and Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Ladoucier of Omaha are near relatives.
