Jacob Goll, a pioneer of this section, died at his home in this city early yesterday morning, and the funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30. Deceased was born in Germany January 15th, 1827, and came to America and settled in Washington county in 1865.

#2-23 Jan., 1907 - Blair Courier - Jacob Goll

The funeral services of Jacob Goll, an old pioneer of this county, was held from the family residence in this city last Friday, Rev. J. G. Shick of the Methodist church officiating. Mr. Goll was born in Wurtenberg, Germany January 15, 1827, and died January 15 on the evening of his birthday anniversary, making him 80 years old. He came to Blair in the early 50s and homesteaded one and one half miles north of this city where he resided until two years ago when he moved to Blair. He leaves a wife, one son, William of Calhoun, and four daughters, three of whom live at home.
