The funeral of Mrs. C. L. Young, who died last Monday, December 17th, was held yesterday with service at the Presbyterian church of which deceased was a lifelong member. Rev. W. R. Coventry came from Omaha to conduct the service and made a short address upon Ps. 107:29, “He maketh the storm a calm so that the waves thereof are still”. Mrs. Catharine L. Young was born in Critenden county, Kentucky 87 years ago, and at the age of 16 was married to John M. Young, who predeceased her some years ago. To them were born seven children, of whom three are living: Mrs. Margaret Kingdon of Blair, S. W. Young of Omaha and Wm. W. of Minnesota, all of whom were at the funeral. Among other friends who attended the funeral were Mrs. Laura Anderson of Omaha, S. M. Elder of Fairfield, Neb. and Bert Curtis of Tekamah.
