Little Hazel Mischke, eleven years old, died at the hospital in Omaha Monday evening from an acute attack of appendicitis and was buried at one o’clock this afternoon. Father O’Driscoll officiating. The parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Mischke are of course almost prostrate over the loss of their only daughter. She was a very attractive little girl and because she loved music so well, her father got her a new piano and she was learning to play rapidly. The many friends of the stricken parents extend heartfelt sympathy in their sore bereavement.

#2-26 Sept., 1906 - The Pilot - Hazel Mischke

Hazel Mischke, who has been sick for the past two weeks or more, and who was operated on for appendicitis at the St. Joseph hospital in Omaha last week, died Monday evening and the remains were brought to Blair Tuesday afternoon. She was a bright little girl of eleven years and a favorite among her playmates. The funeral will be held today from the Catholic church, Father O’Driscoll officiating. Little Hazel was taken to Omaha last Tuesday evening, and on Saturday she seemed to be better and some hope was held out for her ultimate recovery, but she was worse again Sunday and did not again rally. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mischke, and in fact the only child. In their sad bereavement The Pilot desires to join the many friends in extending sympathy.
