#1-7 June, 1905 - Blair Courier - M. M. McKenney

M. M. McKenney died at his home on the farm north of Blair May 27th, and the funeral was conducted by Rev. Conley on the 29th. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery. Mr. McKenney was born in Saco, Maine April 25, 1830 and came to Nebraska about 45 year ago. He first located near Wood River, but was driven from there by the Indians after a stay of three years. He had lived on the farm where his death occurred for about 42 years. He leaves a wife, two sons and two daughters to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father. Allie and Miss Celia live at home on the farm, Mrs. O. Hudleson lives on a farm near the home place, and Morris is now in Alberta, Canada. He leaves three brothers, Alvan of this city, Wilbur, a former resident of this county, but now of Portland, Me. and Warren, who lives in Chicago. There are three sisters living also.

#2-7 June,1905 - The Pilot - Morris McKenney

The funeral of Morris McKenney was largely attended by all his old friends and neighbors. The services were held at his farm home south of the Cuming City schoolhouse. One son who went to the Alberta country in Canada was not able to be present, but his daughter, Mrs. A. Huddleson, and his other son and other relatives were with him. The burial was in the Blair cemetery by the side of his wife who preceded him to rest several years ago. The family have the sympathy of their friends and neighbors in their sad bereavement.
