#1-5 Dec., 1904 - The Pilot - Peter Jensen

After an illness of several weeks, during most of which time he suffered as few men suffer, Peter Jensen died at the home of his sister in North Blair last Friday morning. Mr. Jensen had been a resident of Blair for a good many years and was a carpenter by trade. His wife died about two years ago and since that time has held no place of permanent residence. He leaves many friends to mourn his loss The funeral, which was largely attended, was held yesterday afternoon.

M. P. Jensen died of Bright’s disease at the home of his brother, P. A. Jensen, in this city last Friday morning and the funeral was held at the house at 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Dr. Richards officiating. Mr. Jensen was born in Denmark on July 11th, 59 years go and came to this country when a young man. He served in the Union army during the Civil War and was a member of the local G.A.R. post, having been a resident of the county some fifteen years. He was a carpenter by trade and helped put the oak finishing's on the inside of the new post office building. His wife died about two years ago, and since then he has been making his home with his brother. He leaves two sons, Otto and Frank, and one sister, Mrs. Soren Jensen.
