J. F. Curry passed peacefully away at 6:15 last Monday afternoon from the effects of a paralytic stroke received about three weeks ago. A short funeral service was held at the hotel by Revs. Larkin and Marsh this morning, and the body was taken to Ravenna, Ill. by his daughters, Mrs. T. J Thomure an Miss Frances Stevens, where interment will be made by the side of his wife whose death occurred on Feb. 4, 1903. Mr. Curry was born in Louisville, Ky. Feb. 25, 1837, and thus lacked but a few days of being 67 years of age. He was married to Miss Josie S. Stevens at Champaign, Ill. on Nov. 10, 1868. He came here about two years ago to manage the Clifton Hotel for Dr. Wm. Romine, and had made a great many friends who, with a host of traveling men, will miss his genial manners and kindly face.
