PETER CHRISTENSEN SUICIDES BY HANGING SELF

Peter Christensen, a respected and at one time a well-to-do farmer, committed suicide at his home on the bench road north of Blair last Monday afternoon by hanging himself in the haymow of his barn.

The body was found by his son, Fred, who had been in Blair that afternoon, and from all indications, life had been extinct for several hours.

Mr. Christensen formerly lived out near Orum, where he owned a valuable farm, and where he had a host of friends. A few years ago, he disposed of this farm and moved to California, returning a short time later, seeming dissatisfied and very much discouraged over having disposed of his holdings her, and it is thought that it was during a fit of despondency that he took his life. His wife died about a year ago and friends say this, too, added to his gloom.

The funeral was held from the Danish church in Dexterville this afternoon.

E.C. Pierce, Undertaker, dealer in Furniture and Rugs.

Note: Dexterville was an area within Blair, around 22nd Nebraska and Park streets
