Ardith Leatrice Neff, age 89, of Modale, passed away on Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley. Ardith was born Jan. 13, 1931, in Herman, Neb., to Jacob and Lois (Brunton) Sabalka. She graduated from Herman High School Class of 1948. Ardith married Charles on Aug. 27, 1952, at the Methodist Church in Blair, Neb., Charles passed away Aug. 24, 2015. Ardith enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, reading, cooking, arts and crafts, and playing the piano. She was very active in the church as well as VFW and Legion.

Ardith is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Charles M. Neff.

Survivors include her children Linda (Matt) Gabrilska of Bayou Vista, Texas, Josephine Rath of Harlan, Sharon (Jess) Cornelius of Merriam, Kan., William Neff of Omaha, Neb., three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. The funeral service was Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley with her final resting place at Calhoun Cemetery in Missouri Valley. Pastor Jason Gutzmer officiated and the music selections were "Jesus, Lead Thou On" and "Beautiful Savior". The Casket Bearers were Bill Kirlin, Chelsea Lautrop, Todd Argotsinger, Stephen Caulfield, Larry Guttau, Matt Gabrilska, and Foxx Argotsinger.
