Glenn Edward Hamre, age 82 of Blair, passed away October 29, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Viewing will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020 beginning at 1:00 PM, family will be receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 3 at 11:00 AM at the Kennard Cemetery.

Glenn was born on June 6, 1938 at home in Thief River Falls, Minnesota the son of Eddie and Gertrude (Novacek) Hamre. He grew up in Bagley, Minnesota and graduated from High School in 1956

In 1959, Glenn moved to Omaha where he began working for Peter Kiewit with his brother Don and his father Ed. Glenn worked for Kiewit until his retirement in 2001. On November 7, 1964 he was united in marriage to Patricia Noxon. The couple made their home in Omaha before moving to Blair in 1968. Even after his retirement Glenn continued using his carpentry skills building two sheds and a hunting shack. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Glenn's main love was always his family; he cherished his time with Pat, his children and grandchildren.

Glenn is survived by his wife Patricia; children: Jean (Kevin) Peterson, Thomas (Brenda) Hamre and Todd Hamre; grandchildren: Allison Hamre, Jason Peterson, Katelyn Hamre, Jack Peterson, Chad Hamre and Cory Hamre; sister Patricia Bohn; brother Gene Hamre; sister-in-law Roberta Hamre; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Hamre, brother-in-law Lowell Bohn and sister-in-law Barbara Hamre.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Campbell Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

On November 7, 1964 he was united in marriage to Patricia Noxon. The couple made their home in Omaha, Nebraska before moving to Blair, Nebraska in 1968. They were blessed with three children.
