Mrs. J. R. Smith received word Monday of the death of her father, Peter Stewart at Pasadena, Calif. Sunday night. Interment was made there yesterday. Mr. Stewart was born near Aberdeen, Scotland March 30th, 1832, and moved to Canada in his youth. He was married at Guelph, Canada, and moved to this county in 1867 when Blair was still a cornfield and made this his home until about six years ago. He leaves a wife, one daughter, Mrs. J. R. Smith, and one son, George, who lives with his mother just south of town.
