30 Sept., 1908 - The Pilot - Hannah G. (Branshus) Johnson

After an illness of over a year, death came to the relief of Mrs. J. P. Johnson at 3 o’clock last Thursday afternoon. She had been a great sufferer from what was thought at first to be a tumor, but which was afterwards found to be enlargement and hardening of the liver. She bore it all patiently however, and met death with a brave and eager face, being conscious up to within a few hours of the end. The funeral was held at the Free Methodist church at 1:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. J. L. Riley officiating, assisted by Rev. A. M. Anderson. Miss Hannah G. Brunshuus was born in Denmark Nov. 19th, 1854, and was married to Mr. Johnson July 4th, 1873. They came to this country in 1876 and to Blair in 1888. Twelve children were born of this union, nine of whom are now living, Mrs. Clete Gossard of Herman, Mrs. John Hunt of Coleridge, Mrs. M. Plantz of Plainview, Mrs. Samuel Johns of Coleridge, Hansena of Omaha, Martha, Delia, Vivian and Nathan. All but Mrs. Plantz were here to attend the funeral service.
