29 Jan., 1908 - The Pilot - Orlow Cook

The remains of Orlow Cook arrived from Butte, Mont. last Sunday morning, and the funeral was held at the Howes home at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Rev. A. E. Marsh officiating, assisted by the Episcopal church choir. Interment was made in the family plot in the Blair cemetery. Orlow Walcott Cook, son of Wesley and Delinda Walcott Cook, was born in Grayson, Ky. June 23rd, 1861 and moved with his people to Ohio in ’66 and to this city in 1880. For a number of years he clerked in H. W. McBride’s store and thus became widely acquainted. The pallbearers were: J. F. White, E. F. Cook. J. B. Adams, J. H. Dick, W. J. Cook and Thos. Fennell of Arlington. He was married to Miss Eva Steen at Marshalltown, Ia. Sept. 4th, 1890 and the wife and two sons survive him, living at Salt Lake City at present. Also two brothers, J. Wesley and Wallace Cook and four sisters, Mrs. Goodell, Mrs. Stevens, Mrs. Ellsworth and Mrs. Howes. Mr. Cook was an expert window dresser by profession and trimmed in St. Paul for about five years and in Salt Lake City for about four years. He was doing similar work in Butte at the time of his death.
