Neils Hansen, the young man who was operated upon for appendicitis at the Blair hospital on Wednesday a week ago, died last Thursday noon, and the body was taken out to his home at Orum, where the funeral was held Saturday afternoon. A short service was also held at the Danish church, Rev. Henrichs officiating. He was a son of Hans C. Hansen the Orum blacksmith, and was about 19 years of age. The mother died about two years ago, and the entire community sympathizes with Mr. Hansen in his great bereavement. The father of the deceased is a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge at this place, and Clark O’Hanlon, Judd Taylor, Ed Heinzerling and J. P. Jensen went out to attend the funeral.
