TED JAROSZ, 66

Funeral services for Ted Jarosz, 66, of Blair will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 5, 1988, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church with Father Dan Galas as the Celebrant.

He died February 2, 1988, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Ted was born September 19, 1921, in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska. On October 30, 1943, he was united in marriage to Ethel Chrippen. They moved to Blair in 1945, after he had served in World War II.

He worked as a barber in Blair and owned Ted's Barber Shop since 1945.

He also served in the Korean War.

Ted was past commander of the Blair American Legion Post 154, past district commander, past area commander and presently was serving on the Boys State Committee.

He was also a member of the 40et8, Voiture 1018, member of the Blair VFW Post 1251, past president of the Blair Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Blair Housing Committee, and a member of St. Francis Borgia Parish Committee and he was the first Extraordinary Minister of Eucharist.

Survivors include wife Ethel, two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Pat) Jessen of Blair, Mrs. Phil (Mary) Kempcke of Blair, two sons, Tom of Blair and John of Omaha, nine grandchildren, two brothers, Casimir of Fullerton and Sigmund of Lakewood, Colorado, one sister, Mrs. Jim (Joan) Buelow of Phoenix, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Pallbearers will be Bob Frederick, Earl Stokes, Dar Soll, Jack Varley, Bob Macholan and Steve Tucker.

Honorary pallbearers are Chic Madsen, R.D. Zimmerman, Jr., Daryl Miller, Gus Nelson, Dr. Rudy Sievers and Don Kuhr.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday evening, at the Campbell Funeral Home, who handled the arrangements.
