#1-13 June, 1901 - Blair Courier - Mrs. John Gloede

Mrs. John Gloede died at the St. Joseph’s hospital, Omaha, from the effects of an operation, and the remains were brought up here Saturday for burial. Mrs. Gloede was an old settler here and the funeral was largely attended. Her husband died some three or four years ago, and her remains were laid to rest at his side in the Blair cemetery. She was 55 years old and leaves an only daughter.

#2-13 June, 1901 - The Pilot - Margaretha Gloede

The body of Mrs. John Gloede was brought from Omaha last Saturday morning where she died the Tuesday preceding from gall stones. Deceased has been a resident of this county since the early days, and was highly respected. One daughter is left to mourn for a devoted mother. The funeral was from the German Lutheran church Saturday afternoon at one o’clock, and was largely attended by sympathizing friends and neighbors.
