Emma (Peckham) Hull
Died on 7/19/1902

24 July, 1902 - Blair Courier - Emma Hull

Emma E. Hull died of dropsied complications at 7:35 last Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Linderholm. She had been sick for about three months altogether, the malady becoming serious about a month ago when it was known she could not recover. She accepted the inevitable with unusual fortitude, but her great vitality kept her upright longer than her people or her physician ever thought she could last. She made all the arrangements for her funeral which was held at 4:30 Sunday afternoon, even to the selection of the hymns “Jesus Lover of My Soul”, “Nearer My God to Thee” and “There is a Rest for the Weary”. The text she selected for Rev. Tingley was the 1st verse of the 139th Psalm, “Lord, Thou has searched me and know me”. The body was taken to New London, Ia. by her son, Harry, and laid to rest by the side of her husband and two of their children. Emma C. Peckham was born in Columbus, Ohio April 10, 1846 and was married to J. B. Hull May 1, 1866, and to them were born eight children, six of whom are now living, Ralph, Harry, Horace, Nina and Frances, all who reside in Chicago and Mrs. Linderholm of this city. (unable to read the rest)
