ANOTHER DEATH

Mrs. Nels Jaspersen died at her home near this city on Sunday morning, May 25 after a long illness which resulted in a series of complications as was revealed by the post mortem examination made on Monday by several physicians.

Mrs. Jaspersen was born in Denmark in 1857, and came to America in 1882, was married to Mr. Jaspersen in 1883. The following year they took up their residence on the farm that has since been their home.

About four weeks ago the lady submitted to a surgical operation and did not recover from the effects.

She was the mother of nine children, eight of whom are living and with the husband mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother and to whom the sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended.

Funeral was held at the home at 10 o'clock this morning and at the Danish Lutheran church in Blair at 1 o'clock this afternoon and the body laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the city. Rev. L.H. Kjaller officating at the obsequies.

Mrs. Nels Jespersen died at 12:30 Saturday night from an abscess of the liver, having been sick since April 2nd. She underwent an operation April 17th, and one trained nurse has been with her for seven weeks and another for ten days, but no help of human hands could bring her back to health. A short funeral service will be held at the house at 11 o’clock today and another at the Danish Lutheran Church in this city, Rev. L. A. Kjoeller officiating. Miss Bergitte Margarita Jensen was born in Nim, Denmark, Sept. 8th, 1857 and came to America in 1882. On Feb. 14th 1883 she was married to Nels Jespersen and to them eight children were born: Jasper of Hemingford, Neb; Mr. P. C. Peterson, of Waterloo, Ia.; Jens, Nels, Lars, Dorothy, Otto and Lena who live at home. She also leaves five brothers, Andrew, Chris, Nels, Peter, and Carl Jensen, all residents of this county but Peter, who lives at Hemingford.

Mrs. Nels Jespersen died at the family home south of Blair early Sunday morning after suffering some time with liver trouble. She was about 55 years old and leaves ten children, the youngest being about 15 years of age. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the Danish church and interment made in the Blair cemetery. # 3- Printed in The Enterprise, 5/30/1913

Mrs. Nels Jespersen died at her home on the farm on the north line of Calhoun township last Sunday morning after a protracted illness during which she had been subjected to a surgical operation and a tumor removed from the liver. The Jespersen family, consisting of parents and ten children, are well-known, prosperous, intelligent, highly esteemed farm-folk and an inability to obtain information upon which to prepare an obituary is regretted. Funeral services were held at the Danish Lutheran church in Blair on Wednesday at one o’clock p.m. and burial in the Blair cemetery.
