Dean Richard Ogle, formerly of Blair NE, passed away on 12/2/2020 at the age of 92. Dean was born June 2, 1928 to David and Opal Ogle in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin. The family later moved to the Stewart/Casey IA area where Dean grew up on the farm as the oldest of four brothers. After graduation from Stewart High school Dean entered the Air Force and served in the Korean war. Dean returned home from the service and went to work for Bob Hunt. He retired from a distinguished career at Great Plains Communications in Blair NE.

Dean married Winnifred Truhlsen on July 21, 1957 and resided in the Blair Nebraska area where they raised three sons, Steven, Mark and Kent. Dean volunteered and worked with Kiwanis Club. He especially enjoyed helping with activities for children. Dean was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Dean was proceeded in death by his wife, Winnifred, son Steven Ogle, brothers Ron Ogle, James Ogle and Keith Ogle. He is survived by his sons Mark (Karen) of Lincoln, Kent (Beth) of Blair, grandchildren David Ogle of Blair, Derek Ogle of Columbus OH, Ashley Ogle of Nashville TN, Gunnar Ogle of Blair, Wyatt Ogle of Blair and Peyton Ogle of Blair and countless friends.

A small service will be held at the graveside in Blair Cemetery on December 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.
