WILLIE JEFFERSON BURIED IN ELK CITY

Willie Jefferson, better known as "Jeff" passed away March 25, at an Omaha hospital.

He was born September 11, 1878 at Casey, Iowa and on March 20th, 1901, he was married to Mayme Seeley. They lived at Casey for several years before moving to Washington, Nebr., but later moving to Elk City.

His wife preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Glen, in Littleton, Colorado, a daughter, Mrs. Albert Sunds (Thelma) of Fremont, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 28th at the Swanson Funeal Home in Valley. Mr. Don Kolterman was soloist.

Burial was in the Elk City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hans Braesch, Henry Frye, Hans Moeller, James Sunds, Martin Sunds and Ross Beaty.

OBITUARY OF WILLIE JEFFERSON

Willie Benson Jefferson, better known to his friends and relatives as "Jeff" was born Sept. 11, 1878 at Casey, Ia., where he attended school and grew to manhood.

On Mar. 20, 1901, he was married to Mayme Seeley at Casey, Ia. They lived there several years before moving to Washington, Nebr.; later moved to Elk City, where they spent their remaining years. He passed away March 25, 1963 at an Omaha hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

He is survived by a son, Glen, of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Thelma) Sunds, of Fremont, Nebr.; a sister, Mrs. Dave Neifert, of Portland, Ore.; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m.,. March 28, at the Swanson Funeral Home in Valley, Nebr., with the Rev. Hugh Dowler officiating.

Mr. Don Kolterman sang "Abide With Me" and "Going Home" with Mrs. John Schlessler at the organ.

Pallbearers were Ross Beaty, Hans Braesch, Henry Frye, Hans Moeller, James Sunds and Martin Sunds.

Burials was in Elk City Cemetery with St. John's Lodge No. 25, A.F. & A.M., Omaha, Nebr., assisted by Victory Lodge No. 310, A.F. & A.M., Valley Nebr., conducting Masonic graveside services.

Swanson Funeral Home in Valley was in charge of arrangements.
