20 Dec., 1905 - The Pilot - Alexander Peddie

After suffering a second stroke of paralysis on last Friday morning, Mr. Peddie passed away Friday afternoon between one and two o’clock. On the preceding Sunday Mr. Peddie took very ill due to paralysis, and for the next few days he lay in critical condition, while on Wednesday he began to improve and some hopes for his recovery were entertained until Friday morning he suffered a second stroke. He lingered from early morning until in the afternoon when he passed away. Mr. Peddie, being such a strong man physically, and his being ill such a short time, his death came as a great shock to all. The A.O.U.W. lodge of Herman, of which he was a member took charge of the funeral services which were held at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon. Alexander Peddie was born in Dundee, Scotland March 15, 1861, and died Friday, Dec. 15, 1905 at the age of forty four years and nine months. He was married to Miss Anna Wachter March 23, 1891. He leaves a wife, two sisters and two brothers; one brother in London, England and one brother and two sisters in Dundee, Scotland. He united with the Presbyterian church of Dundee, Scotland when a boy of fifteen years. The many friends of the family join with The Pilot in extending sympathy to the bereaved ones.
