The death of George W. Smith last week, Monday, removes an old citizen of Blair and one who has many friends here. We take the following from a Grand Island exchange: “Comrade Geo. W. Smith, who died on last Monday at the hospital was buried Wednesday, Dec. 6th, from the home chapel, sermon by the Rev. J. R. Gregory of the M.E. church. The friends and relatives in attendance from abroad were Mrs. McManigal of Omaha, a daughter; Mr. H. J. Smith of Omaha, a son; Mrs. Rose Ragon and brother, John Smith, son and daughter from North Bend. They returned to their homes Thursday (the rest of the obit is missing)
