Buried in Fort Calhoun Cemetery

8 Mar., 1905 - The Pilot - Mrs. Edward Osborne

Mrs. Edward Osborne, who was buried by her father in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery February 28, 1905, was the youngest daughter of the late William Coffman and a niece of Dr. Coffman of Omaha. She was born on the farm here twenty three years ago, and educated in our Ft. Calhoun schools, was married to Edward Osborne in 1898, and leaves four beautiful small children, one only a babe in arms. The Presbyterian church was filled to the doors. Rev. Primrose of the Ft. Calhoun Presbyterian church preached the sermon, the Christian Endeavor choir sang the anthems, with Miss Grace Vaughan at the organ. The pallbearers were chosen from the members of Solomon Lodge of Free Masons of which her late father was an active member. Besides her husband and children, she leaves a mother, a brother and a sister, all in Ft. Calhoun. In her school days she was often a playmate of our own daughters, who will be sincere mourners over her death, for she was certainly a good woman, wife and mother.
